AirPlans - Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how AirPlans ("AirPlans", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website airplans.app. It describes what these technologies are, which cookies we actually use, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences — such as your session, language and currency — and help us understand how the site is used. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, work in the same way; in this policy we refer to all of them as "cookies".

Cookies we use

AirPlans keeps cookies to a minimum. We use only two categories:

Strictly necessary cookies — required for the website to function. They keep you signed in, protect your session against cross-site request forgery, remember the items in your cart, and store your cookie-consent choice. The site cannot work properly without them, so they are always active and do not require consent. Examples:
- airplans_session and XSRF-TOKEN — session management and security (stored for up to 30 days).
- ap_src — remembers which site you arrived from, so we can tell which channels bring visitors (stored for up to 30 days).
- ap_partner and ap_partner_sub — set only if you arrived through one of our partners, so that partner is credited for the sale (stored for up to 30 days).
- gdpr_cookie — remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies (stored for up to 30 days).
- Cart and preference cookies — remember your selected plans, language and display currency.
Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to help us count visits, see which pages are popular and improve the site. These are loaded only after you accept them in our cookie banner. Examples:
- _ga — used to distinguish visitors (stored for up to 2 years).
- _ga_Q5198775MF — keeps the analytics session together (stored for up to 2 years).
- _gcl_au — set by Google Ads, so we can tell that an advertisement led to a visit (stored for up to 90 days).
Server-side counting — besides the analytics cookies above, we count visits on our own servers. This sets no additional cookie and does not require consent: it relies on the strictly necessary session cookie that already exists, so it runs even if you decline analytics cookies in the banner. It does not store your IP address, does not identify you and is not linked to your account.

With your consent we also use Google Ads, so we can tell whether an advertisement brought you here. We do not sell your data, and we do not allow anyone to use it to build a profile of you elsewhere.

Legal basis

We rely on your consent to set analytics cookies: they are placed only after you click "Accept" in our cookie banner, and you can withdraw that consent at any time (see below). Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website and do not require consent.

How to control cookies

When you first visit AirPlans, our cookie banner lets you Accept or Reject analytics cookies. If you reject — or simply ignore — the banner, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics is not loaded at all. You can change your choice at any time by deleting the gdpr_cookie from your browser, which makes the banner appear again.

You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or remove cookies and warn you when one is set — see your browser's help pages for instructions. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site, such as signing in or checkout, from working.

Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date above.
